Lessons tailored to your needs

Depending on your personal schedule, you can choose to attend school in the mornings or in the evenings. Some courses also take place in the afternoons. You can attend school alongside your job or focus entirely on your further education. To obtain the Fachhochschulreife or the Abitur, you can also choose the ‘Abitur online’ course, in which you can organise around half of your study time yourself – you’ll only meet up with your fellow students and teachers at the school on two or three evenings.

Three locations in the region

Our three locations are Lippstadt, Hamm and Beckum. Our catchment area includes all or parts of the Soest district, the Paderborn district, the northern part of the Hochsauerland district, the Unna district, the city of Hamm, the Warendorf district and the Gütersloh district.

Since our school was founded, nearly 3,500 graduates have passed their Abitur examinations, and just as many have obtained the other qualifications we offer, ranging from the Hauptschulabschluss and the Mittlerer Schulabschluss to the Fachhochschulreife. We know just how significantly our students’ life paths have been transformed by attending our school and obtaining their qualifications: it has opened up new personal and career prospects.

800 Years of Local and School History

The Hanse-Kolleg is situated in a central location in Lippstadt. Take a look at the history of the town, the building and the school! You’ll discover, for example, that the basement of the building contains the visible remains of a villa dating from the Wilhelminian era.

We place particular emphasis on providing you with personalised support. Mutual support and working together to tackle complex learning content are key skills for your future educational journey. Our teachers see themselves as facilitators of individual learning processes. We teach using adult education methods in small, manageable groups. Choosing the Hanse-Kolleg gives you the chance to set a new course for your future. People with little or no formal qualifications face an ever-increasing risk of being unable to find work. Key skills are becoming increasingly important. The skills acquired at the college specifically prepare students for the demands of vocational training and higher education. Attending the college is compatible with working and is funded by the state under the BAföG scheme. This means you do not have to sacrifice your job security or financial stability.
