Abendgymnasium in the morning or in the evening

Are you planning a career leap or studies at university? Are you interested in combining work and school? Maybe you want to use your childcare leave for further training or you are just very busy.

Abendgymnasium allows you to combine your work or parental leave with school. But you should be able to work independently and manage your time.

Adults from the age of 18 can acquire the following school-leaving certificates: the  entrance qualification for the Fachhochschule (school-based part) the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur).

Admission requirements

- at least 18 years old
- Mittlerer Schulabschluss (certificate of intermediate education)
- Proof of at least two years of professional activity or current professional activity. Part-time jobs, training, housekeeping, FSJ, work and travel or unemployment (pro rata) are credited.
(Students who have acquired the intermediate school leaving certificate on the second educational pathway are not required to provide evidence of employment)

Classes can be attended in Lippstadt and Hamm in the morning and in the evening and in Soest and Beckum only in the evening. Schooling comprises 20 to a maximum of 24 hours per week. The training for the Fachhochschulreife usually comprises 4 semesters and 6 semesters for the Abitur.

We offer the educational programme Abendgymnasium:

in Lippstadt (morning course) - admission after the summer holidays (August) and on February 1st

in Lippstadt (evening course) - admission after the summer holidays (August)

in Hamm (morning and evening course) - admission after the summer holidays (August) 

in Soest (evening course) – admission after the summer holidays (August) 

in Beckum (evening course) – admission after the summer holidays (August)
