Our school band consists of students and teachers from the Hanse-Kolleg.

The idea for our school band was born in 2016 during what was then the teachers’ outing to Aachen. At a karaoke event in the Tijuana restaurant, a number of colleagues demonstrated previously undiscovered singing talent, and so both the formation of the band and its name were quickly decided upon.

At present, the core of the band consists of Michael Plepis on bass, Julia Hörth, Carola Haas and Tim Pfeiffer as singers, and Ulrich Welck on drums. WE ARE DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR A GUITARIST!

Since their first performance at the evening secondary school leavers’ ceremony in January 2017 and their biggest ‘gig’ to date at the graduation ceremony for evening secondary school pupils, vocational A-level graduates and A-level graduates in June 2017 at the Stadttheater in Lippstadt, the band has become a regular feature at graduation ceremonies and other school events.

Rehearsals currently take place every Thursday from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm in the assembly hall of the Hanse-Kolleg. The musicians would be delighted to welcome new members – particularly instrumentalists.
